Time for another daily update on Folly Times again.
Captain's Log #
Today I've done another 100 races. I mostly been trying to stay in the 120 wpm league but hands kept dying...
Oh and Nitro Type no longer blocks Australia IP addresses yay!
Website Stuff #
Today I have witnessed two teams using my stat system disband. While that happened, I forgot to add checks on whether a team got disband or the tag name got taken. This isn't a deal breaker to me, it would probably be nice to track that too (easy fix though).
I'm also going to try looking at the new website framework again (unless I fall asleep like usual hehe).
Some Serious Terrible Guessing #
Today I had funny email guessing my main account. While it's plain obvious on Discord lately, some people outside of Discord seem to fail to guess. So I'll just say "hehe".
For now, yep I'm Carrie Pirc! I'm from Australia after all. /sarcasm
Captain's Blog Section Idea? #
While doing captains log, I really want to have a separate captains blog post. These posts will just be outside of the team and more about Nitro Type and the dev work on this team. Until then, I have some room for that on daily posts hehe.

Team Update #
No comment hehe. Haven't heard any feedback about the upcoming slate clean team review for August, hopefully proves some people are actually on break or don't care. As of now, let's chill July.

Folly Times needs some more graphics on the website. As many probably seen on my cringe Pixel Art on Discord and on this website... I can't draw hehe. So I'm looking to hire anyone for the below:
Team Logo #
twilight has been trying to help me on this one before, but I had bigger ideas for the logo and might require artwork. Here's what I wanted:
- Logo is basically a keycap [F] on a buckling spring keyboard (you might recall there's an F keycap sticker on Nitro Type hehe)
- The F key is popping out toward the user ever so slightly (enough for people to see the F letter?)
- Confetti celebrating stuff coming out from the spring
While visualizing that in my head, I do realize that the keycap might be covering the spring part, or showing the spring might be hard to show the F letter. Any workarounds to that is welcomed.
Mascot Character #
You all probably know about this cringe avatar of FollyCakes:
That's not Silje P. Entidy hehe. This is another fictional character of mine from my fictional stories... So I would like to create the real Silje on the website. I don't have the full details of what I need, but it serves as the following:
- Captain's Avatar
- Dialogue messaging (info text like: "today's competition is...")
I have a rough idea what she might look like, but again: I can't draw hehe (I have rough sketches though). There's also a background story to Silje, but I don't think I need to say much. Background: A girl at a young age with powers involving imagination and springs and slinky. All of her named attacks are based on: "Silly [name of object]!"
Website Layout #
The current website layout is a basic fixed layout. I plan to add more content soon. While I think I can come up with this myself through existing designs on the web... I could use some inspiration. More info to come?
Payment? #
To be discussed. Can be IRL cash, NT cash, whatever is reasonable. Also I might not be accepting offers right now... It's just future planning for the expansion of Folly Times.
