Hello Silly Entities!

Time for another daily update on Folly Times.

Captain's Log #

Today I did 98 races today. Most of the typing was sluggish again and I feel like I need a new desk to deal with height problems :/ (or use my cringe keyboard tray with annoying edge). On the bright side, I got a new high speed of 147 WPM! Yay! But it could had been 150wpm wah...

I feel bad for beating the 2nd place racer (new or alt with only 30+ races hehe). I might had joked the broken heart sticker too soon after it beat me in the previous race. As usual, I sent my $1470099 cash as a celebrating gesture hehe.

I know I can go beyond that... but 1 wpm at a time right? hehe... Oh and my chocolate friend is upset at this revelation and left SSH... (jokes, not really, different leave reason and maybe it's NT drama or maybe it's because of this project hehe).

Website Work #

As mentioned last night, I needed to fix stats to speed up the weekly blitz page. I've found a simple fix through database indexes. My lack of SQL audit skills failed to check what my SQL query was actually doing than my envisioned intent. Oh well, another "patch" done for now.

I've also been looking up various "Game Team" websites like Shivtr and actual teams like "Team Liquid" from StarCraft II for ideas. I did see one design that I might test my upcoming new team logo on...

Team Logo so close to been done, I keep seeing nitpicky details over sizing and spacing. I picked up this habit from one of my former bosses when it came to graphic design hehe (think pixel perfect insanity and luckily I wasn't in the firing line).

I'm going to continue testing the logo on various media.

Mascot Update #

Nothing new to update regarding Mascot character, but I will say there's food for thought with some of the details. But I still liked where it is heading and I need to come up with what I want to use the image for. I decided to let the artist know I need to plan some poses and maybe ask my friend for other opinions (but that's like 1 week's worth of wait).

I found it funny at least one team member thought Silje wasn't a girl's name... Where do I come up with these names? hehe.

Competition - Blitz #

Blitz ends end 25th July 2021 08:45AM EST (results here)

Almost 1 day to go! Time to go nuts! Omega z did 200+ races, did that fare in the Blitz Results? I shall find out tomorrow!

Team Update #

Last night, I realised we had 800+ races on the Last 24hr. I should be saying, great work! Hoping to see some improvement on Weekly Blitz Result tomorrow! Again, more races done, prizes will increase! Good luck, have fun!
