Time for another daily update on Folly Times. Hehe!
Captain's Log #
Yesterday I decided to take a break from news posting as there wasn't any real updates to share. Work fatigued kicked in and I went to sleep a bit early again.
As usual right now I did 100 races today and yesterday. Had a terrible speed during the start of the day and got a bit better during lunch time. It was nice seeing a certain talkative captain chilling in the 110 wpm league...
For the website, I've received another team logo update and I think I'm satisfied with it now. I just need to wrap my head around some more colors and fonts over sections. Another challenge for me is to integrate all my existing news posts to this new version. The current goal is to just change the design and code to prepare for the additional updates like achievements.
I hope I don't fall asleep again... Also if anyone has cool web design ideas for this team page (with examples!), feel free to contact me.
Competition - Blitz #
Weekly blitz will finish on 1st August 2021 08:45AM EST (results here). Good luck, have fun. Week feels a bit fast again.
Team Update #
Same story with not worrying about the Last 24hr Race count. Also losing quite a few team members, but that's good for me right now. Dropping out of Top 50 isn't a bad thing right now, I was thinking of putting the "Top X" badge on the new site and some "alerts" about it.
Reminder about my Team Goals #
Yesterday or another day ago, I was chatting to a grinder that might want to team hop to FOLLY. While I don't mind, my goal for this team is have players that aren't known in the community or just starting out and looking for a team. Ultimately every member that joins can leave and explore other teams or create them.
IMO: I roll my eyes every time some new team with [super veteran/sus/popular grinder] in it and then seeing that team disband within weeks (not mentioning names).
Asking for Stats Page Closed for Now #
I'm going to stop hosting new team stats pages. I get tired of seeing teams that disband so soon... Tag name changing is another blocker (due to Nitro Type API annoyance without me having to check Team Captain's profile page).
However, people on NT Discord Community can chat to me anytime. Some people have the privilege of requesting another team's stat to be hosted over past donations.
