Time for another daily comp with daily blitz still ongoing.
Captain's Log #
Last night, did another 50 races and today did 150 races. Hands aren't dead yet, so played with the usual suspects in the 120WPM league wah... Trying not to push my luck and doing 50 races per session today (starting to feel the degrade rn hehe). Time to do more web work IMO. See below for that...
I honestly thought I would be mentally tired from racing properly because I slept at 4am and woke up at 10:30am hehe. But nope, still alright but tired though.
Today's Daily Challenge went very easy for me. I felt bad for lying when using the stickers "I'll be back", "See you Latte" and "Chart Down Graph" and won hehe.
Halloween Here... #
I'm ahead of the timezone, nothing exciting outside... I see some kids wearing costumes, some wearing masks (as if they are doing a heist hmmm hehe)... Not sure what it's like in the US, I'm expecting even more activity than here.
I haven't had any door knocking, and going into hiding if that happens :P.
Doing Favors... Part III #
Apparently the "Disable Nitro Key" script didn't work on friend race oops. It was because I forgot to add in the friend race url on the script settings hehe. NGL: I based the code on the Auto Refresh script which only needed to be executed on normal races hmm.
Oh well, fixed now, but no one probably needs it anyway.
Website Work #
Last night, I spend my time writing up a script to "cut the bloat" and it was somewhat successful. I've saved at least 50-60% of storage (let's say 1.5gb worth) through "normalization" and sha256 hash sums.
Tested the proposed calculated points query and it looks to be fast enough so far. But I need to start applying that to the stat system.
And that's where the next fun bit starts... Refactoring the existing stat system code and making use of another database library wah... It has to be done anyway (keep up with the stack wah...).
I also need to see if I can improve the "migration" process on the "cut the bloat" process when launching the new stat system update hehe. If memory serves, I think it took 5 minutes :/. The only reason why I did 50 extra races last night was to wait for the importer to test, fix, test, fix...

I heard Daylight Savings for EDT will be over around 6th November. I might change the blitz time or just adapt to the hour change. More to come.

Your a wizard harry is hosting a blitz from Monday, 1st November 9:30AM EDT to Saturday, 6th November 9:30AM EDT. Subject to change (depending on whether I did things correctly hehe).
Same rules as our daily blitz, most races win.

Team Update #
Going under the 1000 races in Last 24hr. It's weekend and Halloween, so enjoy the break!

Monthly Officer Election Status #
I'll post the results and update around 9:30AM EDT. MOTD will come a bit late thanks to the 1 hour cooldown, so feel free to refresh the website for updates hehe.
Reminder: Some Grinders on Break RN #
(I won't remove this note for until end of week hehe.)
We have at least 3 blitz winners (within the 1st to 5th place from past few days) having a break this week (various reasons).
I expect we'll be dropping our race count a bit and leaving Top 50. HOWEVER, if any of you wants to help out the team and make up the loss races, go right ahead. I'll be making notes on that and will award accordingly.
Otherwise, happy to chill a bit. It'll be good for me to concentrate on web work once in awhile.
