Time for another daily news.

Captain's Log #

So far I only had time for 115 races. Hoping to sneak a few more in later and maybe redeem myself with the sluggish races throughout the day :/

Received Some Dev Help Request #

Today I had a "Help Me" dev request from another NT racer. Basically they were trying to make use of the Nitro Type's hidden Season Leaderboard API and putting it on their website.

Unfortunately, Nitro Type has a Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy set on their API. The only way to get around that is to have something fetching the data for you and then hosting it.

There should be something that'll let you do this, but long story short: bit more effort required.

Userscript Fun... #

Today I had a quick look at the Season Leaderboard userscript and wanted to improve it by "fetching the season data" only after the "Season" button is clicked.

So far the script has been basically "hacking" through the frontend's existing code... but there's limits thanks to the store data formatting for leaderboards... Also getting around ReactJS + Redux is a bit diabolical hehe.

Back to the Safe Space Script again #

Today I'm trying to store the "Mute" users in another form of storage called IndexedDB. I'm going to be lazy and use a JavaScript library to make that job easier.

What I want to add in is, "Blocked Users" hehe. With the new storage, I'm going to add a "settings" page to manage block/muted users...

Also need to re-organize some of my code... While it's not too bad, it's getting a bit too long to read.

Once I'm done, I'll publish it here :P

Back to Folly Stats This Weekend #

I'll be back on fixing the Folly Times stat system to deal with Calculated Points. Hoping not feeling too burnt out from attempting to change the database library hehe.
