Hello Silly Entities!

Time for another daily news.

Captain's Log #

Today I've done 150 races on the path to being a snail again... It's that time again where I might sleep early hehe. Hopefully my 15 minute doze while watching Space Youtube videos is preventing that hmm.

Ignore the World Part VIII #

Today I published the "Safe Space" script. Visit here to have a look.

I had fixed some minor things like forgetting to calculate "Nitro" in the WPM and Accuracy. I don't think anyone is actually using this script though, but feel free to drop a comment through email or the Youtube video (no likes or subscribe required).

Feel free to play around and let me know if you have any problems. Also curious if anyone is getting phantom chat messages at the end of the race hmm... The following is not tested:

• Windows
• Mac
• Firefox
• Edge?
• Other browsers with userscript extensions...

The following I won't support:

• Tablets
• Mobile

Some Dev Mumblings #

• This script will break once ReactJS v18 is released and Nitro Type uses it hehe
• I think the chat should just take up all the space hmm. I never pay attention to one area during the race setup.
• I'll need to change the "settings" page to allow new userscript ideas to add more "settings" hmm (basically got lazy with that code)
• Mangaging block/mute users on the setting page will eventually need pagination and filtering
• I really like IndexedDB and hope to come up with more userscript fun ideas involving them (local/session storage still cool though)
• I might look into web components to easily make the interface next time hmm
• Alternatively I might just try and intergrate ReactJS to intergrate with Nitro Type's js code (not sure if that's possible though)
• Maybe I'll try out Pixi JS and make joke race tracks (I think that's why Nitro Type is using to generate the race track canvas)
