Time for another daily news.
Captain's Log #
Last night I did another 50 races to finish at 300. I was basically bored and testing the new stat system changes until 5am wah...
Today I've done 200 races so far. Again races went mostly well, some which I didn't have to try too hard (surprisingly though). I might sneak a few more in before end of day... maybe until I reach 41K hehe. Although I should be very tired from the late night sleeping hmmmm.
Nobody loves Toonidy Part II #
I ran into a certain Youtuber in the 120WPM league... let's just say I have a personal petty grudge over being on some video called: "Can a 100WPM not my name beat me?" and inserts rant about my comment on the video and lack of attention. Strangely I won this time, what a huge improvement since my slow days at 100wpm league hehe? Probably he choked or doing another video on how to fail.
Old wounds open :( (geez let it go Silly, nearly a year since that video and you are being too harsh)
I Digress #
But that's not really what I wanted to write about hehe. Just wanted to say, thanks for the kind messages over my "depression". Unfortunately, we'll see what happens mid week though, that's when I'm going to be very sad IRL :/
Contact Us: "I'm leaving team" #
Usually I like reading these emails, but today this particular racer literally made me roll my eyes today.
But before I get to that, I'll kindly say: Don't come back wah.
I still remember that "friend race" where you boo and thumbs down sticker me! Oh and when you say: "I'm going back to my old team"... Your history on said team was 56 team races in total (and you doing 16 races instead of the said team's 50 daily req)... Then you leave (or got kicked?) that said team within hours... Cool story :/
Usually I don't rant about this kind of thing, but yeah, as previously said on another news post:
While I try my best not to get petty, I can be petty..
Sorry in advance if my facts were wrong though and thanks for the minor note about enjoying the experience on this team :/
Website Work: New Stats System #
Last night, literally to 5am, I decided to scrap the DB library change because it was wasting my time. The whole idea of me changing the library was to align with my current dev work IRL... but I've struggled to enjoy doing things their way for months. This is partly why I'm depressed and hate being a dev now-a-days...
So with that database library change off the tables for now... I was easily able to do the new code to handle the new stat database schema.
The next stage is to test the migration where I transfer the stats data into the new database tables hmm. I also need to estimate how long it'll take to do all this within the 15 minute gap of stat collecting. No one likes a Maintenance Page amirite? hehe.
Recap: Upcoming Features #
So this new update will include the following:
- Calculated points instead of Season Points
- Fix some bugs on "Left Team" (well see if it did)
- Cut the bloat down on user stats by checking if they actually raced within X and Y
- Various internal changes on my end
The main point with calculated points is to overcome the problems found on using season points:
- Cannot see how many points earned racer if they haven't done enough races since start of season
- End of season will show no points
- End of season and New seasons will result in negative season points
Maybe After... #
I might start getting started on that "Host your Own Team Stats" project. Or more userscripts hehe.

Ouch it's weekend less race day or Pokemon... Oh well, try to stay strong on the Season Leaderboard though hmm.
