Hello Silly Entities!

Time for another daily news.

Captain's Log #

Last night, I did a couple of extra races and reached 350 races (again hehe). Today, I've done 300 races so far... My hands went dead during a 150 race session wah... and lots of failed attempts at trying to be accurate.

I tried my best to avoid doing 1 race on the multiplier bonus rounds during my afternoon timeslot for the GMT+8 timezone... Share the points right? hehe.

Xmaxx 2021 Comp Website Status #

Didn't do a whole lot. Just some random fixes on the web page for mobile.

Balancing the Bonus Multiplier Day 5 #

Haven't got time to do this today... From my past observations, random mostly works pretty well hmm... If anything seems "imba" (imbalanced hehe) during the first half, I'll address it first thing in the morning for team GMT+8 hmm...

Next Up: Stat Graphs #

Yep still doing this... Also noting how useless having the "current blitz" box is when the selected day comp had finished hmm... Also some minor nitpicky bugs like the prize carousel with drag and drop don't align with the "arrow" buttons hehe.

Although... yawn... hehe.

Meanwhile with the Non-Gold participants... Yoda_ObiWan_Flash is still holding on to NT Gold #1... Our long time member and fast racer Banic Baylee is currently in the lead for NT Gold #2, but anything could happen hmm.

Q: My race didn't get logged in X to Y blitz #

All blitz times start and finish between X:X1. See tips on the comp page for more details.

If that didn't seem to be the case, then it's likely NT team stat cache is in the way. There's not much I can do about that. The 10 minute increment between X:X1 has been the most accurate I've seen. I tested this against Super Grinders and Trash Racers hehe.

This observation is thanks to Friendly Neighborhood agentgarbo. In fact, the whole comp setup idea is based on the 10 minute stat update trick.

Q: Are there any runner up prizes? #

Could be... don't despair! Keep trying your best and you will be rewarded. Usually I look at the results and decide what to do. Let's talk about that in the end hehe.

Like I always say:

I have something to offer to those that contribute to the team.

Minor Outage Note #

I was hoping this wouldn't happen, but one of the blitz challenges didn't go through thanks to stat collection error wah... I'm hoping it's not too frequent.

But funny enough, I had another stat collection system running when I was doing the initial website. The data does exist, but the results was so minor that I didn't bother correcting the results. I might do it at the end of the comp.

What happens when blitz fails? The next one begins as usual and will combine the results from the first failed blitz. Multipliers unfortunately will refer to the current blitz that worked.

I probably jynx it now... but let's hope it still works throughout the remaining days hehe.

Team Update #

Another 2000+ mark reached yay! Let's aim for that for one week (since start of comp). I'm curious to see how far it takes us on the Leaderboard hmm...

1 week break after comp anyone? Part II #

Haven't got any reponses about this. I'm leaning towards: "Run the usual daily blitz, but don't expect too much races" + "I will race a bit less and play Pokemon" hmm...
