Captain's Log #
Last night I did another 50 races on the main account to test the Points Race Result script. Today I've done 200 races (100/100). I'm taking a chill from Nitro Type... I'm still upset about last night...
Dealing with Nitro Type Support over my "Fraud" Payment Transaction #
Consider this an open letter to Nitro Type
As many would have know... last night Nitro Type decided to issue a warning on my follycakes account about some "suspicious credit card transactions" and say next time I "do that", I'll get "Perm Banned". Not only they did that... they revoked Gold on all the accounts I gifted including my alt and had the nerve to keep my money.
After emailing support (twice!), I finally get a response basically saying: "too many transactions, the following transactions will be refunded, if there's anything else you need contact us" (paraphrasing).
My Reaction? #
This isn't good enough. But I appreciate the prompt response... that's all I'm going to say.
So my follow up was:
Am I safe to gift gold again using my same CC details?
I should had added the following:
- When you decide my transactions are considered fraudulent, did you ever bother to ask to verify whether my transactions are legitimate? Perhaps a scan of credit card.
- Ok, so when you decided to flag my transactions as "fraudulent", why did you remove gold? 2 accounts affected had NT gold until February 2022!
Also I noted the list of transactions planned to be refunded did not include gold winner #2... I failed to point that out, and will do so after reviewing the refunded amounts.
So NT Support, let's continue working out my concerns and note...

I'm really sorry in advance for venting here...
Last night, I considered simply quitting Nitro Type if the issue wasn't resolved within a reasonable timeframe. Perhaps I'm being over dramatic, but no I feel like I've being scammed and treated like a scammer.
So if nothing gets sorted, just getting refunds only... I'm just going to try gifting gold again.... and whether it works or not, I'm quitting Nitro Type and operating this team.
You want to treat me like a scammer? Fine, I'll kick myself out. None of this had to happen if I was contacted about this via Email. Again think about what went down:
- You issue a warning on my account with threat of getting perm ban for "next time"
- You tell me I have to "do something" about the "Suspicious Credit Card Transactions" on warning, but no email to tell me what to do (eg. perhaps email me asking for "verification" with credit card perhaps?)
- You revoked gold instead of the renewal on my and another friend's account... Both accounts were due to expire on
February 2022 - All my IRL money is still taken (apart from the ones getting refunds), if something went down, I should have been emailed about getting refunded for fraud instead of me asking about it
- With the Gold Winners from my
Xmaxx Big Comp 2022losing gold, now I'm made to look like a scammer, I'm hopeful they don't see that in me :(
I paid money to host this website and create competitions. I worked very hard to try and make this team become as great as my favorite team at SSH (long ways to go hehe). This might seem like a non-issue to many reading... but this really hurts.
Nitro Type I'm still trying... #
Again, I heard stories this happened to another captain. Only difference? banned instead of warning... and now I learn I should not be spending too much transactions in one day.
Last time I worked with payment gateways for a Domain Hosting Company years ago (wasn't Stripe though), I forgot how we usually deal with Pending Fraud... If memory serves on the "fraud script", we just send an email to the customer about verifying their transaction and mark the order status as "Pending".
So despite my venting (I'm sorry in advanced), I'm willing to co-operate and get this sorted. 7 days should be a reasonable timeframe to get this sorted.

I vented this out to a few NT friends. One offered to email support to "endorse" me, but I think this isn't really going to help, but appreciate the sentiment.

Again, if nothing gets resolved in 7 days. I'll try gifting Gold again. I'll think about getting a Prepaid Visa Gift card to deal with the transactions (maybe).
I'm sorry you had to put up with this. I'm embarrassed by this whole thing. That's why I'm so upset wah. But I promise you all, I'm not going to try and quit this team if I can help it. Feel free to drop me email for any concerns.
