Time for another daily news!
Captain's Log #
Today I did 155 races so far. I had a lot of interruptions during the day (eg. MOTD filter userscript), but I'll throw in another 50 races before I stop.
I'll try and do other dev work... I want to finish off the Nitro Type Boostrap scraper for Google Sheets and give it to Youtuber Nate Dogg.
Userscript: MOTD Filter #
Some bad news, Nitro Type decided to remove the offensive word filter on the Account Settings page. Initially I thought they updated their "API" but lol nope jk, real updates hehe.
Collecting Bad Words #
I will go ahead and add in the "dictionary" feature only. I'm going to need to build a list of words... I'll turn to Friendly Neighborhood agentgarbo and use the list of known bad words. I'll also update any new words I find myself, I suggest everyone does the same. Let's work together on solving this nuisance feature on Nitro Type.
Here is the current list I've written down. There will be some obvious swear words to add in too hehe.
Userscript Update Progress #
I've quickly written up the dictionary scan. I just need to clean up the redundant code like "select two words". I'm also going to slip in an "offline dictionary" in case the offensive list above is dead hmm (shared hosting = problems).
After I update that, I'll probably setup a system where I can collect future bad MOTDs and collect more bad words. This is possible because...
In the meantime... #
There's another workaround on Nitro Type. Create an alt account, create a team and on Special Requirements, put in your MOTD. It'll tell you what word is "possibly offensive" (only for one occurrence at a time though). Remember to space out your "Links" eg. "https:// bit. ly/ ..." like with all team pages.
Unfortunately this validation error message won't work for my userscript because it checks: password, whether you are in team and whether you are the team captain (for edit team).
Now that I opened my mouth, Nitro Type will probably fix that hehe.
Trivial #
I reported the account setting offensive filter check as a "bug" a month or two before I bothered to make this an MOTD filter tool. Nitro Type probably laughed it off and didn't reply (context: I tried putting in Peacock as the last name for the alt account)...
Who's laughing now? hehe. But it would be nice if they gave me Bug Smasher or a Wrapped Flyer for reporting :P

Woah good racing today :D.

Season End Goals #
Arcety DM me regarding our current position on Season Leaderboard.
We are currently at 22nd on the LB. Let's aim for 20th by end of season and like last time, I'll decide on rewards like how many golds to give away for next comp. GLHF team!
I miss FOLLY Discord? #
I'm thinking of joining back on the FOLLY Discord server :/ (I heard it's still alive). Part of the reason was my rude move on brooming my Discord Friend list (again, kick not banned and no sorry required)... But not sure. I need some "information" about the contents of the server and whether it needs a cleanup. BTW: that server was setup by former co-captain twilight who now goes by toonight hehe.
Let's just say, last time it's got Pokemon... lots of Pokemon :/.
Alternative and original plan was just to have our own chat server and setting up "Folly Times" account.
For now, I'm contactable from Team SSH Server.
