Time for another daily news!

Captain's Log #

Last night I did another 150 races, 40-50 were before the Silly Revolution event started. It was a fast day for me, reaching 130WPM avg yay.

Today I have done 150 races and will do a couple more.

Comp Page Status #

I quickly patched up the "oversight" but there was a minor nitpick oversight on the comp page hehe. I didn't bother to fix and just let it update within the first 10 minutes.

If I'm bothered, I'll add in another section to list the racers that did 30 races for 100K. For now, I'm doing this from the database hehe.

Doing More Favors #

I kept telling Nate Dogg I'd get around to helping out with providing Nitro Type's Bootstrap data (aka leaks hehe) into spreadsheet. The only thing keeping me back was manually converting that to XML... Decided to just give the JSON data version I had setup already and assisted in getting that to work on Google Sheets. GLHF getting that to work :D

Rant: Bug Smasher Hunters... #

I'm a bit salty recently that someone managed to get Bug Smasher over the car paint hue angle "glitch". It's legit fair and they deserved it... but I knew about it before LONG AGO and had plans on making it a userscript sobs... And I know I said: "you can go get bug smasher if I hint things" (paraphrasing)... sobs but come on... Nitro Type... where's mine? I reported 2 things and one of them is fixed... (I haven't tested whether the "other nasty one" got fixed).

Why the Salt? #

One of the reported things I said to NT admins was about the First and Last Name having a pointless filter (back when in October during Spooky Comp)... They of course ignored me as usual (probably laughing at me), so I resorted to using their "feature" for my MOTD Filter Tool script!

How INTERESTING Nitro Type fixed the bug! What bugs you say?

Offensive List filtering made no sense, it's not public exposed data
Checking the Offensive First Name and Last Name first instead of checking the user's Password first; imagine you were using some Third Party API to check profanity and you had a rate limit! I literally just saved you a few API calls. (IMHO: They probably got their dictionary from somewhere and there's no Third Party API, but idk where)

Now I don't mean to raise eyebrows, but if I ever find out one of you lot told Nitro Type Admins about that bug and got Bug Smasher... then wah... I'm paranoid, someone told them <_<, I have that feeling. You all should come clean to me on Discord... (I won't bite, just want to know lol).

"But Silly, Nitro Type probably saw too many sus reports of people using that API" lol nope jk, try again, I reported it, I publicly did a video about it... come on sobs. It's possible, assuming they have some bug reporting system working along with their react app (bugsnag?).

With that... Next time... I'm not going to share ANYTHING! Not even put it as a Userscript! Hmph :P

PS. Congratulations Nate Dogg and Sharp for getting the title (idk who Sharp is btw, but I heard it was those two)

Userscript: Typing Test Stats #

Friendly Neighborhood agentgarbo shared a link to another google sheets showing all typing tests. I vaguely remember seeing one on another site, but nice to it on a spreadsheet.

My plans don't necessary require the whole typing test passage, but it's handy to know for listing purposes hmm... I'm still doing experiments on this.

(FYI: this is fairly low priority right now)

Secret Mission is a group effort. I'm not going to say what it is... but beating it will unlock new prize rewards hehe.

Last time I ran this, we failed... Will we be able to succeed this time? We'll see... and no it's not beating LDT on LB again hehe.
