Time for another daily news!
Captain's Log #
Today I've done 220 races so far (200/20 split races). I might had lied about being on "Mobile" today while going out and getting the booster poke hehe. I originally thought I'll slow on an iPad with Folio Keyboard, but it turns out, I can type fast enough that I can visit 120WPM league sometimes hmm... Only problem was accuracy and not a comfortable experience...
After getting the poke, I'm already feeling sick with headaches and fatigue wah... Thanks to that I slept during the afternoons. I'm still feeling tired as of writing this news post... But at least it's better than my co-workers staying up until 4:30am to deal with "game project" :/.
Toonidy's 40K Race Tonight #
Usually I race with friends on main for KOTR races... But nah, probably running out of friends again as I ditch NT community once again... I've got at least 2 racers that might be in it. Anyone else interested let me know, but I'm not going to be sandbagging much hehe (apart from warmup speeds hmm).

The Makings of Folly Times Part III #
After reaching Top 100. It was a "Today I Learned" that more people tend to apply Top 100 teams... Well duh, blame Nitro Type's lousy non-existent Team Directory hehe.
We were still on fire with climbing the LB, I ran little "milestone" team event comps like reach 75th etc etc... until 50th. At that time, it seemed like a big deal but really as of today, "nah"...
We climbed up to around 25th and that's when "I learned" 7 days is up... We would have to double our efforts to climb further. Unfortunately, I don't think people understood that... One of the officers kept trying to nag to climb the LB and even tried a little bit of "name and shame" on MOTD... I didn't like that, so had to point it out wah... As of today, I get how he felt though and I'm slowly going to the dark side by tracking people that leave hehe.
Dealing with Officers #
During the climb to Top 50, the same officer tried the good old: "Can I be Officer?"... I changed officers, but then decided to do weekly officers hehe. It didn't sit well with him... "I'll do more races" (if memory serves... he only did 10 races a day...)... after repeat explaining, that's where we finally rolled out weekly officers.
The "Temporary" Website #
Another fun gripe with officers was their MOTD conflicting with my daily blitz MOTDs. That lead to this "temporary" website's creation hehe (for news posts)...
Funny enough, our first daily news post was... Raffle Comp hehe (our upcoming comp, if I ever find time to do it wah...).
There was no stats system, so everything was managed by writing a Python script and downloading team data manually.
And for those still wondering... This site is using a Static Website generator called Eleventy. I create a git repo and write Markdown files for news posts. The git repo is linked up to Netlify which builds and hosts the website. Did you know I started it off using this template? https://eleventy-base-blog.netlify.app/
