Hello Silly Entities!

Time for another daily news!

Captain's Log #

Yesterday I thought I did 75 races, but it was really 125 races. Today I did the same amount with a blend of Zen and Chaos for the Cakes Account hehe... Failed to reach a new high with reaching another 156 WPM wah... 160+ WPM soon for alt... soon?... hehe.

It's chaotic right now in the office with "game project" :/ (yep I'm still on it hmm wah...). Imagine some of your co-workers didn't sleep at all trying to smash out things... and then decided to use my office space for sleeping... I'm really flat out this week again sobs and we haven't even started moving offices (which could had prevented the "sleeping room" issue hehe).

Meanwhile on my main... I received a couple of messages via Discord friends and NT Display Names about joining in my race. I'll be inviting from around 30 minutes after new shop items. Don't miss out hehe, otherwise I have to kick my main account for not doing 25 races!

Let's see if I am able to do dev work on raffle comp today... or will I fall asleep early hmm... If I do fall asleep early... I might try waking up earlier and seeing if I'm productive hmm... Something will be done... I must!

I think same reasonable count again. But haven't properly looked again.

How you going on Special Blitz to 1st Year Anniversary? #

Depending on how well you do... I might giveaway one Gold on the 25th February to the Non-Gold winner. I see some "rising stars", so keep on racing hard.

I'm still looking into running the next big comp with gold after this event.

The Makings of Folly Times Part V #

When I created the team, I always say I don't want to run a Discord server. I was hoping twilight looked after it, but nah couple of things went south... I don't really want to rant about that. It range from dealing with "personalities", conflicts, the bloat discord bots... (remember that piggy? wah... don't get me started on that Pokemon one... and just didn't want to chat much anymore.

The "conflicts" really upset me, so much I left like how I usually do with all Nitro Type discord servers hehe. It was around that time, I started getting bored of playing Nitro Type around August and September... I decided to just do weekday racing and no racing on weekends and simply run weekly blitz. This also gave me the opportunity to see how "loyal" my members were and seeing if they would step up.

Unfortunately, it only seemed like honorable Igor was winning the weekly grinds and I had arranged a deal where I hold all his winnings for bigger comps. During the "inactive" period, ack! went inactive too and other grinders like Silly Ivan and Omega Z retired. It was dark times, but I wasn't really bothered by it.

Little bit of Renewal #

Eventually Igor had left the team which was fine by me, it meant I could stop "feeling like I'm in debt". Around that time, I finished playing NEO: The World Ends With You and Persona 5: Strikers, so I was ready to race again.

The timing was perfect, I had thought of a big cash and gold event for Halloween. That particular event came a bit earlier when Nitro Type launched the Spooky Shop hehe. I went into work, using good old jQuery to create "win a spooky shop loot" comp. This event was funded using all of Igor's unearned winnings as well as my own funds. But what makes the comp more attractive was probably the "Gold comp".

After that, team was operational again. We were mostly Top 50, sometimes going below.

Advice: Teams Fall, Teams Grow #

Just because a team goes down, doesn't mean you need to disband. These things happen and anyone can bounce back. If you are inactive, just say so and leave the team (but try not to lie like me with LDT hehe).

Hiatus is probably still coming for this team, but I'll continue to work behind the scenes and make team management easier for myself and for you. My goal for this team will always be about providing the fun comps!

Let's see if I have room for more "The Makings of Foly Times" hehe. Until next time for tomorrow!
